Peter and Janet Cooke, the owners of Richardson & Wrench Armidale are passionate supporters of the Armidale community. For example, they have acted as Evo City Ambassadors for Armidale. During this time they were able to promote the wonderful lifestyle benefits of living in Armidale and the New England. Aside from this, in the past Peter and Janet have chosen to donate $1,000 to community based organisations for every house that they sold. Now though they are focusing on two very worthy charities.
The first charity that Richardson & Wrench Armidale support, in conjunction with the rest of the company, is the Starlight Foundation. The charitable foundation’s motto is to ‘brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.’ They certainly do this through a number of their programs. For example, the Starlight Foundation grants the wishes of seriously ill children. This can take the form of a trip to Disneyland or perhaps a visit from the child’s favourite sporting hero or musical superstar. This of course serves to really brighten the lives of both the child and their families.
The other charity that Richardson & Wrench Armidale supports is Young Life Armidale. This organisation gives hope, friendship, guidance and support to young people so that they can reach their true potential. The charity does this in a number of ways such as hosting camps and clubs and also placing volunteers in schools to reach out to the students. Janet and Peter have had a long time family association with Young Life and that is one of the reasons they are such passionate supporters of Young Life. Funnily enough Richardson & Wrench Armidale even sold Young Life Armidale the building that they have recently moved into!
The Armidale community have shown their appreciation for all of the good works that Richardson & Wrench Armidale have undertaken by previously awarding them with the Best New Business title as well as the best Real Estate Agency of the Year as part of the Armidale Business Awards.
