Also, Armidale Pet Shop & Aquarium has recently celebrated 30 years of being a locally owned and operated business! The Everett family owned the shop for a staggering 28 years before Brad and Sunnie took it over in August 2015!
If you have always dreamed of incorporating a pet into your home, Armidale Pet Shop & Aquarium will either have it available in the shop for you, or will do their very best to source it for you. Some of the pets that can be purchased at Armidale Pet Shop & Aquarium include puppies, bunnies, kittens, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, mice, birds and fish. When you enter the pet shop you will be amazed by the huge array of fish on display. Some examples of the types of fish available include goldfish, native fish and tropical fish such as Tetras and Cichlids. You may also be lucky enough to see some Dory’s (clown fish) and Nemo’s (blue tangs) in the shop!
Armidale Pet Shop & Aquarium also stocks live coral, star fish and sea horses in the shop that can be purchased to create an authentic aquarium environment. If you would like a more unusual pet, the pet shop also has tarantulas, bird eating spiders and scorpions for sale!

They sell food for reptiles such as frozen rats, mice, bunnies and quail and you can even purchase crickets and cockroaches for your pet lizard! Armidale Pet Shop & Aquarium also stocks everything that a cat or dog could possibly want including coats, beds, kennels, food and even shampoo!
If you are a fish lover, this family run business can also set up an aquarium that will be perfect for your needs and budget! Also, you can buy premium pet food for your dog or cat which has a whole host of advantages for both you and your pets. These premium pet foods have higher protein content and use better quality ingredients. This means you can feed your pet less due to the nutritional density of the food. In terms of dealing with the waste products from your pets, eating these premium foods means that the animals waste is dry and hard and easier to remove!
Wherever possible, Brad and Sunnie source their products from Australian owned companies! As an example, many of the animal beds and pet foods that are sold in the shop are Australian made. In fact, several of the Armidale Pet Shop & Aquariums customers choose to buy products if they know that they are made and manufactured in Australia!
